After the devastating fires around Santa Barbara the "fire poppy" grows well on the burned over hills.

The torrential rain the west coast suffered through in the last few weeks had us all overlooking the blessing falling from the skies. Now that the sun is shining again that gift is everywhere evident.

The Santa Barbara area has been ravaged by fire for the last 2 years, houses destroyed  and mountainsides charred. Yet on the blackened hillsides the fire poppy now blooms--a sure sign of rebirth.
